In the old church's basement, where they kept their decorations for winter, there was a peculiar sight: Santa Claus's costume, hanging there as if waiting for someone. The red suit seemed to glow with an otherworldly light, and his boots left deep footprints in the dust that no one could explain.

The townspeople whispered about it among themselves. They spoke of strange noises coming from the basement at night, of whispers too faint to hear clearly, but unmistakably human. Some said they saw figures darting around corners, their faces twisted into grimaces as if pulled by some dark force.

Then there were those who claimed that on this very night, Santa himself had descended from his throne in the North Pole's ice castle and come to visit them, leaving behind a trail of mysterious gifts and unsettling notes. The children found their stockings filled with peculiar objects: broken toys, rusty bells, and something that looked disturbingly like human hair.

But most frightening of all was the note they left behind, written in blood-red ink on what appeared to be ancient parchment, warning that Santa's true identity had been hidden from us for centuries, and that this Christmas Eve marked the beginning of a new era of darkness under his watchful eyes.
